Alice came to a fork in the road. “Which road do I take?” she asked.”Where do you want to go?” responded the Cheshire cat.”I don’t know,” Alice answered.”Then,” said the cat, “it doesn’t matter.”~Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

Welcome to Nicole’s Destination Unknown – Part 3! (For my previous blog & life – Visit Destination Unknown (the Original.)

An offspring of Destination Unknown (a blog I kept for 7 years,) this version will chronicle my adventures in a very, very small town – Plains, Georgia. That’s right – I’ve moved to rural Southwest Georgia. When I started the original Destination Unknown, I had just moved to a much larger city from my hometown. In that series of entries, readers followed my transitions of having a very demanding job where I traveled quite a bit, to falling in love with a man overseas, to going through the whole immigration process, to getting remarried. (All  exciting events!) Then, as the old saying goes, Life is a journey, not a destination, I lost the job, the husband, almost everything, then packed my bags up and moved back to my hometown. That transition proved to be a fantastic opportunity to rebuild my life, and now… here we are. In my 40s, with a new guy, new location,  and a new job!

Follow my new adventures as I learn how to navigate farm life, government life (yes, I will be a department head for a city in a neighboring community promoting tourism,) build a house (WHAT?,) and the biggest kicker of all, help my guy with his two kids. (Double Gulp!) So much good is in store, and that’s what we will celebrate here.

So pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee, and let’s see how this next chapter pans out!
